The rest of the piece could be a liberal editorial circa 1969. Just swap out the word Vietnam for Iraq. Get out. Try not to leave a mess if you can... but get out.

One wonders if they actually read the report. Especially the sections that cover Saddam's plans to reconstitute his programs as soon as sanctions were lifted. Remember the freakin' howl about how the sanctions were killing tens of thousands of children...?

Did the REBels read the parts that covered the Oil for Food scandal? Nope, not a world about that because it does not neatly into the Democrat talking points.

If you think that this country... our country... is only a selfish force for evil in the world, than this world view makes perfect sense.
