"Reasonable" Gun Regulations

"... why are such laws proposed in the first place if they will do little good, and potentially harm? These measures are proposed mainly to make progress toward eventual prohibition and confiscation of the sort that has happened recently in Britain and Australia. This is no imaginary threat. It is the main agenda of anti-gun groups. There can be no honest debate about reasonable gun regulations with those who are completely uninterested in being reasonable, or even in regulating guns."

Randy Barnett (filling in for Glenn Reynolds) taking the reasonable anti-gun rights crowd to task on glenreynolds.com.

Incrementalism... friend of the loony left, gun control nazis and the Palestinians. Hey, we just want reasonable constraints on Israel... so we can destroy it a piece at a time.

US Hegemony Stops Earth's Rotation

Okay... not really. But this story from Reuters Amnesty Accuses U.S. of Rights Abuses in Iraq (via abcnews.com) is just about as far fetched.

Amnesty spokeswoman Judit Arenas Licea said some Iraqis had been forced to stand under the blistering sun for up to 48 hours in U.S.-run detention centers that lack proper sanitation and that relatives had no information on their plight.

Cool, we got the Earth to stop rotating for 48 hours! Man, we ROCK!
